Some of the students I teach are obsessed with things like color and typography and and want to be designers. You’ve gotta love a student like that, and I do. But a large percentage of the Newhouse students who take the required Intro to Graphic Design course I teach have no intention of becoming designers—rather PR professionals, advertising execs, writers, even bankers. One of my very greatest joys is helping them discover their inner designer and challenging them to do work they never thought they could.
Here are some of the posters they’ve created in my course under my my guidance.
